In approximately four years, you'll progress from an intern mastering the fundamentals, into a skilled analyst, a trusted associate, and eventually a high-performing Energy Trader. At each stage, you'll build your skills, deepen your market understanding, and develop the confidence and independence needed for success.

Intern (0–1 year)

Primary Focus: Build essential foundational skills, align culturally, and understand core market principles.

Key Evaluation Criteria:

  • 🛡️ Risk management & integrity (Early discipline and accountability)

  • 🤝 Collaboration (Team integration and mentorship)

Milestones:

  • Master foundational analytics

  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, integrity, and teamwork

  • Begin paper trading

Trading Analyst (1–2 year)

Primary Focus: Deepening analytical and technical skills, developing intuitive judgment, and applying skills to real trading decisions.

Key Evaluation Criteria: (All Stage 1 criteria PLUS)

  • 🛠️ Technical skill (Analytical systems and data solutions)

  • 🎲 Probabilistic thinking & risk-reward intuition (Enhanced judgment and decision quality)

  • ⚖️ Conviction tightrope (Balancing strongly held views with adaptability)

Milestones:

  • Successful paper trading track record, execute supervised trades

  • Consistently demonstrate probabilistic thinking and technical proficiency

  • Show balanced conviction and adaptability

Trading Associate(2–3 year)

Primary Focus: Increasing responsibility, independent decision-making, sustained performance, and intuitive differentiation.

Key Evaluation Criteria: (All previous criteria PLUS)

  • 📈 Performance (Consistent profitability and managed drawdowns)

  • 🧭 Strategic insight & contrarianism (Game-theory reasoning for non-consensus opportunities)

  • 💡 Creativity & curiosity (Generating original strategies, innovative thinking)

  • 🌱 Humility & growth mindset (Acknowledging uncertainty, seeking evidence, continual improvement)

Milestones:

  • Independently profitable supervised trading

  • Demonstrate composure, humility, and distinctive strategic insight

Trader (3–4 year)

Primary Focus: Sustained elite profitability, proactive market responsiveness, innovation, decisive execution, and team leadership.

Key Evaluation Criteria: (Mastery and refinement of all criteria, emphasizing differentiators)

  • 🦅 Predatory instinct & conviction (Aggressively identifying and decisively exploiting opportunities)

  • 🧘 Emotional composure (Managing elevated risk and independent P&L responsibility)

  • 🌊 Adaptability (Rapidly adjusting to evolving market conditions)
